[Genesis 28 kicks off with a bang. Strobe lights go off as Keep Yourself Alive by Queen blares throughout the arena. A couple shots of pyrotechnics pop off as the camera pans around to show that Genesis is once again filling a packed house. The camera then focuses in on our commentators.]

Joe Gardner - Hello everyone and welcome to the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico I'm Joe Gardner!"

Eddy Roth - And I'm Eddy Roth!

Joe Gardner - We've got a great show lined up for you tonight! Lets get straight into the action!

[The camera then switches to the ring where a referee is standing at the ready.]

This match was a great match. It seemed to rival the last time these two met. The match took a turn for the worst when Future's face snapped and he dug into his tights to pull out a pair of brass knuckles. The ref watched as he cold clocked Charger X and rang the bell. Future laughed for a minute before his face snapped back to normal and he looked at his hand in horror realizing what his brother had done.

FORWARD

Jim Rooster and Addison Reynolds are seen walking down a corridor somewhere backstage. Rooster is wearing a nice suit and the Rising Star belt is slung over his shoulder. Addison turns to him as they near a door.

ADDISON: "Are you sure you want to do this? Once you sign, there's no taking it back."

Rooster glances at the belt, then turns to Addison.

JIM: "Addie, I'm all about moving forward. Let's do this."

Addison nods and Rooster opens the door. He holds it for his agent and then follows her in. The removable plaque on the door reads: "JAYSON BURR - GENESIS."

Standard One Fall Singles Match for the Television Championship

This match was a great one to watch. Danny Jackpot seemed to expect Messier's fast pace moves and avoided them for a while. Messier started to show signs of wear and as he did Jackpot distanced himself and mocked him being quite loud about how Messier was faking it. What he didn't think of was that the time he spent showboating was giving Messier a little time to recharge. When they locked back up Messier took to a different tactic and did a little mat wrestling to conserve his energy. This stunned Jackpot and wore him down. After a while of this Messier sprung up and started bouncing around the ring quickly landing the UTI on Jackpot and going for the pin. Messier got the win and then nearly collapsed onto the ring ropes while holding his new Television Championship.

Winner by Pin Fall: Stephen Messier
Match Value: $983.00
Standard One Fall Singles Match

This match was a great display of power by Kintaru. He had this one in the bag from the start and made quick work of the Paperboy. He finished this by nailing Kintaru's Lullabye.

Winner by Pin Fall: Kintaru
Match Value: $822.00
Roosterpalooza Winner vs. Jim Rooster

Charger X is already in the ring when "Dross," by the Smashing Pumpkins begins to play. The crowd is cheering wildly. Just as Billy Corgan's lyrics begin with: "You say I'm beautiful...well I can't help it....," Jim Rooster appears at the top of the ramp. He's stil wearing his suit and carrying the Rising Star Championship belt over his shoulder.

Billy Corgan sings, "You say I'm empty...but you all know I'm full of shit!" as Rooster makes his way to the ring to the beat of Jimmy Chaimberlin's drum. When he gets to the ring, he lowers the belt, climbs through the ropes and glares at his opponent. The two men circle the ring, staring each other down. Rooster turns his nose up at the other man and then reaches for a microphone. The ring announcer hands him the mic. The crowd shushes.

JIM: "Congratulations. Tonight, you've truly proven yourself to be the best of the up-and-coming talent in Genesis."

The crowd cheers and the Roosterpalooza winner looks around, taking in the moment.

JIM: "You have, without a doubt, earned a shot at the belt I'm holding in my hands right now."

More cheers. Rooster, being the master of public speaking that he is, allows the crowd to speak its mind.

JIM: "However...you have not earned a shot at me."

The crowd grows quieter, there are some stray boos as the audience begins to realize that they might not get to see Rooster in action tonight.

JIM: "I've spent the past week studying the men involved in this tournament. Jayson Burr may have hand-picked the best apples from the foot of the Genesis tree...but none of you are ripe enough. Certainly, a superstar with my reputation and skill level gains nothing by defending a secondary championship against an unprepared challenger. Even if you hadn't just endured a grueling contest, you would hardly be a stepping stone for me. Defeating you here and now would only result in critics accusing me of collecting easy wins to pad my perfect record."

The crowd pops at the mention of the famous record.

JIM: "I requested this tournament to prove a point...and I've recently come to the conclusion that going through with this match would only counter my argument and make me look like a cheapskate. I then decided to take action and move to the future."

The fans begin to quiet again. The camera pans across the audience and shows one particular shot of two college-age kids. One shoots the other a quizzical look and the other shrugs very dramatically. The camera cuts back to Rooster.

JIM: "Earlier tonight, before the start of the tournament, I signed the papers to officially VACATE the Rising Star Championship."

The crowd begins to boo, but Rooster speaks quickly to calm them down.

JIM: "I have already risen...and tonight I begin my campaign to replace one belt with another. I WILL become the Genesis Champion!"

The crowd roars as Rooster raises his right fist. He pauses for a moment, then turns back to his would-be opponent.

JIM: "As for you..."

Rooster spins very suddenly and takes Charger X down with a Savate kick. A loud slap is heard as his foot connects with the X's face. There's a mixed reaction from the crowd as Rooster looks down at Charger X.

JIM: "Congratulations, Champ."

Rooster drops the Rising Star belt on the man's prone form, and then jumps onto the turnbuckle and spreads his arms, inviting praise from his cult following. Flashes are going off and the crowd shows no sign of quieting as the camera cuts to a promo for ASHES TO ASHES, LIVE ON PAY-PER-VIEW...

After nailing the Crash and Burn Choke Slam he covered Tyler for the win and then stood up motioning at his waist for a title belt.

Winner by Pin Fall: James "BigTrouble" Kendrix
Match Value: $928.00
